Action Performed:

Precondition:

  • Rules are enabled.
  1. Go to staging.new.expensify.com
  2. Go to workspace settings > Rules.
  3. Click Add merchant rule.
  4. Create a merchant rule where when Merchant contains Apple, rename Merchant to Banana.
  5. Click Save rule.
  6. Go to More features.
  7. Disable Rules.
  8. Go to workspace chat.
  9. Create an expense with Apple as merchant.
  10. Open the expense report.

Expected Result:

Merchant will not change because Rules are disabled.

Actual Result:

Merchant changes to Banana when Rules are disabled.
Merchant rule is still applied when Rules are disabled.
