Expense - p2p expense changes to "spent", error when trying to delete expense, unable to pay #62501

Issue reported by: Applause - Internal Team

Action Performed:

  1. Go to staging.new.expensify.com
  2. Open FAB > Create expense > Manual
  3. Enter amount > Next
  4. Select a user and submit to them
  5. The expense preview shows "x owes", then changes to "spent"
  6. Right click on the expense preview > Delete expense
  7. Delete the expense

Expected Result:

In Step 5, after submitting the expense, the preview will show "x owes"
In Step 7, the expense can be deleted without issue

Actual Result:

In Step 5, after submitting the expense, the preview shows "x owes", then changes to "spent"
In Step 7, error when trying to delete the expense

Also, the expense cannot be paid by the receiver

    I noticed they tested without the report table view beta. I retested on a public account without the beta and couldn't reproduce either:

    Same here - I'm unable to reproduce this anymore as well 👀 The text did not change nor had any issues when deleting the expense.
