    👋 Friendly reminder that deploy blockers are time-sensitive ⏱ issues! Check out the open `StagingDeployCash` deploy checklist to see the list of PRs included in this release, then work quickly to do one of the following:

    1. Identify the pull request that introduced this issue and revert it.

    @lakchote hey! Sorry for the delays here, someone else will take over the task, read through the partial solution that @cdOut left and push this forward.

    I will write an update by eod today.

    @lakchote @luacmartins

    We spent a bit of time looking at this task with @289Adam289 and we have some considerations, mainly a question: is this really a bug?

    reasoning 1

    In general preserving scroll position on a webpage after full refresh is not so obvious.
    We are lazy loading data in Search, which means that before clicking on a report you might've scrolled down to for example search result number 200+.
    After user clicks report, and then hits "refresh", then clicks back button on the report what should happen? should we somehow make sure that the same 200 search items are fetched?

    I personally as a user of websites would not expect that, after refreshing page with lazy loaded data, that my scroll will be preserved.

    reasoning 2

    In addition to above, we tried to find a similar pattern in E/App and we couldn't find cases where scroll position would be preserved like this.
    Please as an example take a look that the exact same behaviour happens on chat list page.

    scroll not preserved after refresh on chat list

    Those are really good points @Kicu. I agree with those and as such, I think we can just close this issue. @lakchote what do you think?

    I'm gonna close this issue for now. Please reopen if needed.
