    Proposal

    Please re-state the problem that we are trying to solve in this issue.

    When hovering over avatars in LHN, display name is not displayed in the tooltio

    What is the root cause of that problem?

    The issue is caused by the incorrect implementation of the ReportUtils.getAccountIDForLogin method that probably left while working on switching to using accountID as keys in the personalDetails login.

    What changes do you think we should make in order to solve the problem?

    The root cause is here:

    App/src/libs/ReportUtils.js

    Lines 824 to 832 in d396430

    /**
    * Gets the accountID for a login by looking in the ONYXKEYS.PERSONAL_DETAILS Onyx key (stored in the local variable, allPersonalDetails). If it doesn't exist in Onyx,
    * then an empty string is returned.
    * @param {String} login
    * @returns {String}
    */
    function getAccountIDForLogin(login) {
    return lodashGet(allPersonalDetails, [login, 'accountID'], '');
    }

    As we can see, it tries to access the personalDetails object by the login as the key. It should be changed as below:

    function getAccountIDForLogin(login) {
        const keys = lodashKeys(allPersonalDetails);
        const result = lodashFind(keys, (key) => allPersonalDetails[key].login === login) || '0';
        return Number(result);
    }

    What alternative solutions did you explore? (Optional)

    n/a

    Reminder: Please use plain English, be brief and avoid jargon. Feel free to use images, charts or pseudo-code if necessary. Do not post large multi-line diffs or write walls of text. Do not create PRs unless you have been hired for this job.

    @burczu yeppp good catch 👍 Though I think at the end of the 3rd line we want to default to 0, not '0'

    Though you did that in the return, so it's probably fine either way 👍

    Actually, it must be '0' because lodashKeys returns an array of strings, so the result of lodashFind will also be a string - the fallback type should be consistent here.
