This "reconnect loop" looks like the same SSE reconnect issue tracked in detail at #600: on a stock Node CLI install there's no global EventSource and no eventsource package, so the client's SSE open fails with eventsource_not_available and backs off (up to 120s) on repeat — a visible reconnect loop, while heartbeat keeps succeeding.
A client-side fix (a hubFetch-based SSE fallback that connects without the eventsource package) is committed and going through release — see #600 for the root cause and details.
Could you confirm whether your evolver_loop.log shows sse_open_failed / eventsource_not_available lines? If so this is a duplicate of #600 and will be resolved by that fix. If your loop is a different failure (e.g. auth/hello re-try storm), a snippet of the log lines around the reconnect would help so we can tell them apart — the screenshot alone doesn't show the error type.
