Hi FATES folks. I’m helping my lab group to set up some experiments using FATES where we want to change the depth to bedrock. After playing around, I’ve noticed that when I change zbedrock in the surface data file (generated using the subset_data script from ctsm/tools/site_and_regional) CLM without FATES will recognize the modified depth to bedrock, but FATES does not. FATES doesn’t recognize zbedrock at all. Is this correct? Is there a way to modify depth to bedrock for FATES?
For the image below the FATES and CLM cases were run the same expect for use_fates = true or false.
Let me know if you need more information.
