fix(rules): judge the pushed refspec, not just the checked-out branch (#240) - #254
Conversation
…#240) Caught live within an hour of 8.6.0: a tag push and a compound 'checkout -b X && push -u origin X' were denied by the public-main seed rule because HEAD was still main at evaluation time. evaluate() now parses explicit push refspecs (tags/--tags never match a branch condition; a named branch refspec is judged as its destination; bare push falls back to HEAD). Fixes two live false positives the 8.6.0 seed rule produced within an hour of shipping: a tag push from a checked-out main, and a compound checkout-and-push of a feature branch.
evaluate()now parses explicit push refspecs — tags and--tagsnever match a branch condition; a named branch refspec is judged as its destination (stricter and correct: pushingorigin maindenies from any checkout); only a bare push falls back to HEAD. New test covers nine command shapes. 967 passed; ruff clean. Version 8.6.2.🤖 Generated with Claude Code
