I have been trying to install Fast_Sans and Fast_Serif. I keep getting an error message that they are not valid font files. Can you please help me with this.
I am really excited to install this especially for my daughter who has difficulty reading on screens. Thank you for developing it and making it available.
Hi Sylvia,
thanks for reaching out.
Well the font files are definetly valid, as multiple people are using them already.
The core question is:
Where do you want to install the fonts?
On PC (Windows, Linux)
On a eReader (Kindle, Tolino)
On a Tablet, Smartphone, etc.
They way is different for every device, but is basically nothing special to the "Fast Font".
You should be able to install it like other fonts.
The only exceptance are eReaders like Kindle, because they behave quite differently from model to model.
You can also refer to the other Questions & Closed ones in the Repository, as they touch a lot of these eReader issues.
Thanks for getting back to me. I decided to give it another go, and I figured out what I had been doing incorrectly. I thought I would post in case it helps someone else.
On the Code page, I had been using 'Save As' to save each file. (They each saved as a .ttf file, so I presumed that was correct.) Previously, I had see the 'View Raw' option, but assumed that would just show me the code. I hadn't realized that I would need to download the raw file.
Success!
I've already tested it in Word, and it looks great.
