    Resolved fork sync request 40276931945.

    • Fork main: 2a844e62cd343fe8b96b7bd0348fdd5dbfd990b3
    • Pinned upstream: f40c7c6435e390fc91f1d7eac6caf61bd9fe0e0e
    • Candidate: ea75da95450a3696c10b04604bea333ec44023ec
    • Commits: b4b80f7847 (merge), ea75da9545 (upstream adaptations).

    Conflict resolutions

The merge stopped on 42 files. Fork commits touching each conflicted path were inspected against the retained entries in fork/CHANGES.md; the per-file commit audit is retained locally in 40276931945-conflict-intent.log.

    • Release versions: apps/desktop/src/updates/updateChannels.ts, packages/shared/src/cliRelease.ts, and apps/web/src/components/sidebar/useUpdateEverything.ts retain fork version suffixes, version-dependent release repositories, and fork archive updates independent of npm publication. Upstream's shorter comments remain where applicable.
    • Mobile feed: apps/mobile/src/features/threads/ThreadFeed.tsx uses upstream's workspace-detail navigation and attachment rendering, while retaining compaction fork support and reply-specific markdown media revisions. The fork action uses a label that covers both responses and compactions.
    • Downloads: packages/contracts/src/assets.ts and apps/server/src/assets/AssetAccess.ts use upstream's disposition: "attachment" API and download implementation. The fork's chat-link context-menu action was adapted to that API. AssetAccess.test.ts keeps upstream's download tests and the fork's exact-file capability, tamper, replacement, and missing-file checks. Unsupported extensions still fail preview validation; archive/markdown preview rejection was updated because upstream now intentionally supports those file types. Download responses retain upstream's octet-stream MIME behavior.
    • Image caching: apps/web/src/assets/assetUrls.ts and apps/web/src/components/chat/ChatMarkdownMedia.tsx combine upstream's revision-aware reminting with the fork's separate URL cache per reply. The revision-family identity and underlying query include the reply key, so one reply's refresh cannot replace another reply's URL. A focused regression covers this isolation.
    • MCP: apps/server/src/mcp/OrchestratorMcpService.test.ts keeps the upstream test additions without duplicate imports. Orchestrator tool descriptions keep upstream's concise copy and add the retained 30-second/45-second delegation wait budget, scheduling time zones, and tool-boundary agent-message delivery. Thread-tool queue descriptions retain that delivery behavior. packages/contracts/src/orchestratorMcp.ts retains the matching time-zone and timeout contract descriptions.
    • Claude: ClaudeAdapterV2.ts combines upstream's attachment/PDF budgeting, tool search, and service provisioning with the fork's cold compaction caching, prompt suggestions, quota reset retention, settled wakes, and tool-boundary agent messages. ClaudeAdapterV2.test.ts retains both upstream and fork cases. Existing comments were shortened to meet upstream's new lint limits.
    • Codex and provider sessions: CodexAdapterV2.ts, ProviderSessionManager.ts, and apps/server/src/provider/CodexProvider.ts retain provider-scoped MCP credentials, owned delayed starts/compactions, overload retries, prompt suggestions, and unsupported-usage-read avoidance, alongside upstream's lineage checks and updated diagnostics. The original upstream annotations for optional undefined results were retained at their correct expressions. ProviderOrchestrationAdapterInfrastructure.ts and ProviderContinuationRequests.ts retain the shared continuation queue and agent-message claim contract.
    • History projection: ProjectionStore.ts uses upstream's bounded history paging/materialization and adds compaction fork evidence to the materialized rows. It retains the fork's queued/cancelled-input visibility and rollback behavior. packages/shared/src/orchestrationV2Timeline.ts retains the corresponding visibility intent.
    • Launch/provider-switch tests: ThreadLaunchService.test.ts and testkit/ProviderSwitch.integration.test.ts retain the upstream additions and the fork's Scratch-folder replay and deferred handoff cases. Scratch partial-create assertions now follow upstream fix(server): analytics stop counting reconnects, retries, and dev servers pingdotgg/t3code#24601: the first accepted initial message is not a resumed final write; a repeat is resumed. Folder reuse and run assertions remain intact.
    • VCS status: VcsStatusBroadcaster.ts retains the fork's scan reuse and post-fetch invalidation while preserving status reconciliation after a failed pull.
    • Composer/tests: ChatComposer.tsx and the renamed composerCommandKey.ts use upstream's current plain handler API while preserving prompt-suggestion acceptance and dismissal. ComposerBannerStack.browser.test.tsx keeps both sides' independent tests; MessagesTimeline.browser.test.tsx keeps both sides' imports and cases, including upstream audio coverage.
    • Runtime guidance and fixtures: packages/provider-core/src/server/runtimeInstructions.ts combines upstream audio/file-viewer guidance with the fork's workspace-relative-link explanation. Its tests preserve upstream PR guidance and fork runtime/model cases. All eight conflicted Muse transcript fixtures use the combined runtime text and upstream's current instructions. Pi's retained runtime injection remains in place.
    • Persisted caches: both branches independently used full-cache version 5 for different compatibility changes; upstream also introduced compact-cache version 6. The combined full format is version 7 and compact format is version 8, invalidating both old forms while keeping shell caches at version 3. orchestrationCache.ts, its tests, threadCacheEncoding.ts, and mobile persistence tests agree on those formats. A failing-before/passing-after regression proves stale compact records are rejected.

    Adaptations discovered by validation

    • Fork Codex prediction/overload replay frames lacked the native default collaboration mode introduced by upstream fix(server): use Codex native collaboration modes pingdotgg/t3code#24737. Added the required field to four expected frames; retry and suggestion behavior assertions were preserved.
    • Replaced the continuation refusal path's catch-plus-succeed with equivalent Effect.orElseSucceed, satisfying the new Effect diagnostic.
    • Resolved the cache-format collision described above, including mobile round-trip expectations.
    • Formatted the files reported by vp fmt --check. No tests were weakened or deleted. No fork/ tooling or .github/ files were edited by the resolver; upstream changes to those paths were merged normally.

    Validation

All selected final checks passed. There are no skipped checks or unresolved resolution decisions.

    • Frozen-lockfile dependency installation succeeded. An existing set of package-local compiler launchers referenced a missing old TypeScript installation; those ignored launchers were moved to the trash so package commands use the installed root compiler. No dependency declarations or lockfile edits were needed.
    • Package typechecks passed for contracts, provider-core, shared, client-runtime, server, and mobile. Direct project typechecks passed for web and desktop. Existing informational compiler suggestions remain; no final type errors or warnings remain.
    • Focused provider/continuation regression suite: 410 tests passed in ClaudeAdapterV2.test.ts, CodexAdapterV2.test.ts, and ProviderContinuationService.test.ts.
    • Final integration/regression suite: 254 tests passed in 11 files; includes projection history, launches, provider switches, MCP, downloads, VCS status, timeline visibility, asset URL revisions, cache envelopes, and release selection.
    • Client projection/workflow/runtime regression suite: 108 tests passed (before the additional stale-compact regression was added; the cache suite was rerun afterward).
    • Muse replay suite: 8 tests passed.
    • Codex provider, asset atoms, thread forks, and history paging suite: 31 tests passed.
    • Final mobile/cache/thread synchronization suite: 50 tests passed, including the stale-compact regression.
    • corepack pnpm exec vp fmt --check: passed across all 6,059 matched files.
    • Focused lint of 40 resolution/adaptation source files: exit 0. Two inline-schema compilation warnings in AssetAccess.test.ts are unchanged upstream test code (upstream lines 1420 and 1457); no resolver code causes them.
    • git diff --check <requested-main> HEAD reports whitespace only in six files whose candidate blobs exactly equal the pinned upstream blobs: apps/mobile/modules/t3-highlights/Vendor/highlights/highlights.c, apps/mobile/modules/t3-highlights/Vendor/wasm2c/wasm-rt.h, patches/@pierre%2Fdiffs@1.6.1.patch, patches/@react-native-menu__menu@2.0.0.patch, patches/expo-video@58.0.11.patch, and patches/react-native-keyboard-controller@1.22.8.patch. They were left unchanged as required; no fork/resolver whitespace errors remain.
    • Working tree clean; no unresolved index entries, merge state, or revert state. Candidate contains both requested SHAs. Task-edited text has LF endings.

Validation used automated unit/integration/replay tests and typechecks; no interactive browser or native-device session was started. Local Node was v24.22.1; the candidate's GitHub checks remain the promotion gate for the repository's configured runtime.

Reviewer focus: the combined reply/revision cache keys, full/compact cache invalidation, attachment budgeting alongside retained Claude hooks, and compaction-fork evidence in bounded history. The local regressions and typechecks cover those integrations.

T3 resolution failed for request run 40276931945. Needs local resolution (see fork/README.md).

Candidate ea75da95450a3696c10b04604bea333ec44023ec was published successfully, but GitHub Quality validation failed. Automatic promotion was not dispatched.

    CI run: https://github.com/Alb11747/t3code/actions/runs/40279163553

    Review PR: #26

Settlement exited 5 and returned the request to claimed with fix attempt 1. All three server test jobs passed; Quality, Tests, and Web tests failed. No promotion ran. The failure path is being used because Quality requires editing protected fork tooling, rather than attempting a partial fix that cannot pass.

The Quality job (121428513145) reports four errors from upstream's new t3code/no-low-value-comments rule in retained fork patches:

apps/server/src/provider/PromptSuggestions.ts:14:1: Cut this to 4 lines or fewer: keep the constraint, drop the background.
fork/scripts/release-version.cjs:22:1: Cut this to 4 lines or fewer: keep the constraint, drop the background.
packages/ssh/src/tunnel.test.ts:578:7: Cut this to 4 lines or fewer: keep the constraint, drop the background.
apps/desktop/src/window/DesktopTray.ts:29:1: Keep `@public` alone; the boilerplate after it says nothing about this export.

    Reproduced locally with exit 1:

    corepack pnpm exec vp lint fork/scripts/release-version.cjs apps/server/src/provider/PromptSuggestions.ts packages/ssh/src/tunnel.test.ts apps/desktop/src/window/DesktopTray.ts

The resolver procedure explicitly says, "Never edit fork/ tooling or .github/" and step 9 requires its failure path if a fix needs those files. The release-version error is in fork tooling and is reproducible, so this is not an unrelated upstream flake. The conflicting comment belongs to retained fork release-version commits 7db534bd17 and 2fe60d0b94. No forbidden file was edited or diagnostic disabled. Further resolution requires a maintainer's local change under the documented local-resolution workflow.

The isolated checkout is retained at /root/Local/Agents/Work/t3code-fork-resolver/repo, branch resolve/40276931945, clean at the published candidate. Merge commit: b4b80f7847; adaptation commit: ea75da9545. Both requested SHAs are ancestors; no merge/revert state or unmerged index entries remain. All focused local regression suites, selected typechecks, formatting, and lint of the resolution/adaptation files passed before publication. The broader CI lint exposed the four additional retained-patch errors above. The original local summary and check logs are retained beside this file.

Local evidence: 40276931945-ci-quality-first.clean.log (completed Quality job log), 40276931945-quality-repro.log (local reproduction), and 40276931945-summary.md (resolution and local checks).

The completed run also reports these additional test failures for local follow-up; they were not investigated further once the protected-tooling blocker was established:

    • Mobile apps/mobile/src/lib/filePreview.test.ts: eight playback tests use a mock of ThreadMarkdownImage that lacks the fork's MarkdownMediaRevisionContext export.
    • Web ChatMarkdown.permissions.browser.test.tsx: the download expectation still expects the old fork contract, while the candidate now uses upstream's disposition contract.
    • Web AttachmentFilePreview.browser.test.tsx: four document-preview failures (Word, notebook outputs, RTF, EPUB); their relation to retained fork code is unverified.
    • Web ComposerBannerStack.browser.test.tsx: the retained usage-limit/goal test times out while hovering the peek control; its cause is unverified.

Full failed-job output is retained in 40276931945-ci-failed-first.log.

Resolved fork sync request 40276931945, including the maintainer follow-up to failed validation run https://github.com/Alb11747/t3code/actions/runs/40279163553.

    • Fork main: 2a844e62cd343fe8b96b7bd0348fdd5dbfd990b3
    • Pinned upstream: f40c7c6435e390fc91f1d7eac6caf61bd9fe0e0e
    • Candidate: 6ab0642ccf62ac6a31ebdb654a7f2bbd63079716
    • Initial commits: b4b80f7847 (merge), ea75da9545 (upstream adaptations).
    • Maintainer commits: cdbc2d6997, 0b62a5c134, 641b309855, 6ab0642ccf.

    Failed checks and maintainer fixes

    • Quality: upstream introduced t3code/no-low-value-comments. Commit cdbc2d6997 shortens the retained fork comments in fork/scripts/release-version.cjs, PromptSuggestions.ts, and tunnel.test.ts to constraints, and keeps @public alone in DesktopTray.ts. No rule suppression. The maintainer explicitly authorized editing fork tooling; .github/ was not edited.
    • Mobile playback: upstream's expanded playback cases render assistant messages through ThreadFeed, which retains the fork's reply-specific media revision context from b89b454af5. Commit 0b62a5c134 provides that context in the image mock. Reproduced all eight failures before the fix; all 89 filePreview tests pass afterward.
    • Chat downloads: commit 641b309855 updates the fork context-menu test from the old download: true flag to upstream's disposition: "attachment" contract adopted by the merge. The resolved path and download intent remain asserted. Reproduced the failure before the fix; all seven tests pass afterward.
    • Banner hover: fork commit 4327ddd840 retains separate hover coverage. Upstream f512ff6159 now expands synchronously on pointer entry, hiding the peek button while Playwright is still hovering it. Commit 6ab0642ccf hovers the stable data-composer-banner-stack wrapper. Every focus, visibility, count and Escape assertion remains. Production banner code matches upstream. All four tests passed in three consecutive independent file runs.
    • Attachment previews: accepted upstream flake, unchanged. All four failed cases passed unchanged together, then the complete AttachmentFilePreview.browser.test.tsx passed 130/130 in 59.18 seconds. The entire apps/web/src/components/files tree, web Vite configuration, render helper, and stylesheet match pinned upstream f40c7c6435e3 exactly. CI's table-heavy Word case hit the 15-second project ceiling; notebook and RTF/EPUB failures occurred while waiting for asynchronously mounted iframes. The history audit found no fork implementation or merge-resolution change in those paths. Local evidence: research-focused-browser.log and research-attachment-full-browser.log. The maintainer accepted this evidence and explicitly requested leaving these tests unchanged and rerunning CI if they alone flake again.

No tests were weakened or deleted. Independent GPT-6.1 Sol xhigh review found no actionable findings in the three first follow-ups, then independently found no actionable findings in the banner change and complete follow-up range.

    Final maintainer validation

    • corepack pnpm exec vp fmt --check: all 6,059 files passed.
    • Touched-file lint: all seven files passed, including fork tooling and the banner test.
    • Focused typechecks: mobile, server, SSH, web and desktop all passed. Existing informational compiler suggestions remain; no errors or warnings.
    • vp test run src/components/chat/ComposerBannerStack.browser.test.tsx: 4/4 passed three consecutive times.
    • vp test run src/components/ChatMarkdown.permissions.browser.test.tsx: 7/7 passed.
    • Mobile filePreview.test.ts: 89/89 passed after the mock fix.
    • PromptSuggestions.test.ts and DesktopTray.test.ts: 6/6 passed.
    • Attachment preview suite: 130/130 passed unchanged, with the upstream timing-flake evidence above.
    • git diff --check ea75da9545 HEAD: passed. All seven touched text files have LF endings. Clean checkout; no unresolved index entries or merge/revert state. Both requested SHAs remain ancestors. Main still matches the request base before publication.

Logs for the final checks use the local 40276931945-maintainer-* prefix. No interactive browser, native device, or development server session was started. Only the resolver publish/settle helpers will publish and request promotion; main is never pushed directly.

The original merge and adaptation record follows. Its validation was completed by the automated resolver before the broader CI failures above; the maintainer fixes and final checks above supersede its claim that no follow-up was needed.

    Conflict resolutions

The merge stopped on 42 files. Fork commits touching each conflicted path were inspected against the retained entries in fork/CHANGES.md; the per-file commit audit is retained locally in 40276931945-conflict-intent.log.

    • Release versions: apps/desktop/src/updates/updateChannels.ts, packages/shared/src/cliRelease.ts, and apps/web/src/components/sidebar/useUpdateEverything.ts retain fork version suffixes, version-dependent release repositories, and fork archive updates independent of npm publication. Upstream's shorter comments remain where applicable.
    • Mobile feed: apps/mobile/src/features/threads/ThreadFeed.tsx uses upstream's workspace-detail navigation and attachment rendering, while retaining compaction fork support and reply-specific markdown media revisions. The fork action uses a label that covers both responses and compactions.
    • Downloads: packages/contracts/src/assets.ts and apps/server/src/assets/AssetAccess.ts use upstream's disposition: "attachment" API and download implementation. The fork's chat-link context-menu action was adapted to that API. AssetAccess.test.ts keeps upstream's download tests and the fork's exact-file capability, tamper, replacement, and missing-file checks. Unsupported extensions still fail preview validation; archive/markdown preview rejection was updated because upstream now intentionally supports those file types. Download responses retain upstream's octet-stream MIME behavior.
    • Image caching: apps/web/src/assets/assetUrls.ts and apps/web/src/components/chat/ChatMarkdownMedia.tsx combine upstream's revision-aware reminting with the fork's separate URL cache per reply. The revision-family identity and underlying query include the reply key, so one reply's refresh cannot replace another reply's URL. A focused regression covers this isolation.
    • MCP: apps/server/src/mcp/OrchestratorMcpService.test.ts keeps the upstream test additions without duplicate imports. Orchestrator tool descriptions keep upstream's concise copy and add the retained 30-second/45-second delegation wait budget, scheduling time zones, and tool-boundary agent-message delivery. Thread-tool queue descriptions retain that delivery behavior. packages/contracts/src/orchestratorMcp.ts retains the matching time-zone and timeout contract descriptions.
    • Claude: ClaudeAdapterV2.ts combines upstream's attachment/PDF budgeting, tool search, and service provisioning with the fork's cold compaction caching, prompt suggestions, quota reset retention, settled wakes, and tool-boundary agent messages. ClaudeAdapterV2.test.ts retains both upstream and fork cases. Existing comments were shortened to meet upstream's new lint limits.
    • Codex and provider sessions: CodexAdapterV2.ts, ProviderSessionManager.ts, and apps/server/src/provider/CodexProvider.ts retain provider-scoped MCP credentials, owned delayed starts/compactions, overload retries, prompt suggestions, and unsupported-usage-read avoidance, alongside upstream's lineage checks and updated diagnostics. The original upstream annotations for optional undefined results were retained at their correct expressions. ProviderOrchestrationAdapterInfrastructure.ts and ProviderContinuationRequests.ts retain the shared continuation queue and agent-message claim contract.
    • History projection: ProjectionStore.ts uses upstream's bounded history paging/materialization and adds compaction fork evidence to the materialized rows. It retains the fork's queued/cancelled-input visibility and rollback behavior. packages/shared/src/orchestrationV2Timeline.ts retains the corresponding visibility intent.
    • Launch/provider-switch tests: ThreadLaunchService.test.ts and testkit/ProviderSwitch.integration.test.ts retain the upstream additions and the fork's Scratch-folder replay and deferred handoff cases. Scratch partial-create assertions now follow upstream fix(server): analytics stop counting reconnects, retries, and dev servers pingdotgg/t3code#24601: the first accepted initial message is not a resumed final write; a repeat is resumed. Folder reuse and run assertions remain intact.
    • VCS status: VcsStatusBroadcaster.ts retains the fork's scan reuse and post-fetch invalidation while preserving status reconciliation after a failed pull.
    • Composer/tests: ChatComposer.tsx and the renamed composerCommandKey.ts use upstream's current plain handler API while preserving prompt-suggestion acceptance and dismissal. ComposerBannerStack.browser.test.tsx keeps both sides' independent tests; MessagesTimeline.browser.test.tsx keeps both sides' imports and cases, including upstream audio coverage.
    • Runtime guidance and fixtures: packages/provider-core/src/server/runtimeInstructions.ts combines upstream audio/file-viewer guidance with the fork's workspace-relative-link explanation. Its tests preserve upstream PR guidance and fork runtime/model cases. All eight conflicted Muse transcript fixtures use the combined runtime text and upstream's current instructions. Pi's retained runtime injection remains in place.
    • Persisted caches: both branches independently used full-cache version 5 for different compatibility changes; upstream also introduced compact-cache version 6. The combined full format is version 7 and compact format is version 8, invalidating both old forms while keeping shell caches at version 3. orchestrationCache.ts, its tests, threadCacheEncoding.ts, and mobile persistence tests agree on those formats. A failing-before/passing-after regression proves stale compact records are rejected.

    Adaptations discovered by validation

    • Fork Codex prediction/overload replay frames lacked the native default collaboration mode introduced by upstream fix(server): use Codex native collaboration modes pingdotgg/t3code#24737. Added the required field to four expected frames; retry and suggestion behavior assertions were preserved.
    • Replaced the continuation refusal path's catch-plus-succeed with equivalent Effect.orElseSucceed, satisfying the new Effect diagnostic.
    • Resolved the cache-format collision described above, including mobile round-trip expectations.
    • Formatted the files reported by vp fmt --check. No tests were weakened or deleted. No fork/ tooling or .github/ files were edited by the resolver; upstream changes to those paths were merged normally.

    Original resolver validation

All selected final checks passed. There are no skipped checks or unresolved resolution decisions.

    • Frozen-lockfile dependency installation succeeded. An existing set of package-local compiler launchers referenced a missing old TypeScript installation; those ignored launchers were moved to the trash so package commands use the installed root compiler. No dependency declarations or lockfile edits were needed.
    • Package typechecks passed for contracts, provider-core, shared, client-runtime, server, and mobile. Direct project typechecks passed for web and desktop. Existing informational compiler suggestions remain; no final type errors or warnings remain.
    • Focused provider/continuation regression suite: 410 tests passed in ClaudeAdapterV2.test.ts, CodexAdapterV2.test.ts, and ProviderContinuationService.test.ts.
    • Final integration/regression suite: 254 tests passed in 11 files; includes projection history, launches, provider switches, MCP, downloads, VCS status, timeline visibility, asset URL revisions, cache envelopes, and release selection.
    • Client projection/workflow/runtime regression suite: 108 tests passed (before the additional stale-compact regression was added; the cache suite was rerun afterward).
    • Muse replay suite: 8 tests passed.
    • Codex provider, asset atoms, thread forks, and history paging suite: 31 tests passed.
    • Final mobile/cache/thread synchronization suite: 50 tests passed, including the stale-compact regression.
    • corepack pnpm exec vp fmt --check: passed across all 6,059 matched files.
    • Focused lint of 40 resolution/adaptation source files: exit 0. Two inline-schema compilation warnings in AssetAccess.test.ts are unchanged upstream test code (upstream lines 1420 and 1457); no resolver code causes them.
    • git diff --check <requested-main> HEAD reports whitespace only in six files whose candidate blobs exactly equal the pinned upstream blobs: apps/mobile/modules/t3-highlights/Vendor/highlights/highlights.c, apps/mobile/modules/t3-highlights/Vendor/wasm2c/wasm-rt.h, patches/@pierre%2Fdiffs@1.6.1.patch, patches/@react-native-menu__menu@2.0.0.patch, patches/expo-video@58.0.11.patch, and patches/react-native-keyboard-controller@1.22.8.patch. They were left unchanged as required; no fork/resolver whitespace errors remain.
    • Working tree clean; no unresolved index entries, merge state, or revert state. Candidate contains both requested SHAs. Task-edited text has LF endings.

Validation used automated unit/integration/replay tests and typechecks; no interactive browser or native-device session was started. Local Node was v24.22.1; the candidate's GitHub checks remain the promotion gate for the repository's configured runtime.

Reviewer focus: the combined reply/revision cache keys, full/compact cache invalidation, attachment budgeting alongside retained Claude hooks, and compaction-fork evidence in bounded history. The local regressions and typechecks cover those integrations.

    • Fork main: 2a844e62cd343fe8b96b7bd0348fdd5dbfd990b3
    • Pinned upstream: f40c7c6435e390fc91f1d7eac6caf61bd9fe0e0e
    • Candidate: 6ab0642ccf62ac6a31ebdb654a7f2bbd63079716
    • Initial commits: b4b80f7847 (merge), ea75da9545 (upstream adaptations).
    • Maintainer commits: cdbc2d6997, 0b62a5c134, 641b309855, 6ab0642ccf.

CI retry of the same candidate

The first maintainer publication ran at https://github.com/Alb11747/t3code/actions/runs/40281369818. Quality, general Tests, and all three Server test shards passed. Web tests passed 379 files and 4,536 cases; only AttachmentFilePreview.browser.test.tsx failed, with six cases: 60/100-page Word and Word-remount timeouts at 15 seconds, plus the known notebook/RTF/EPUB iframe-mount assertions. Banner and download tests passed in CI. The failed file and its implementation remain identical to pinned upstream and passed 130/130 unchanged locally. Settlement exited 5. Per explicit maintainer direction, this publication retries the exact same candidate SHA with no code or test changes. Evidence: 40276931945-maintainer-ci-round1-failed.log and 40276931945-maintainer-settle-1.log.

    Failed checks and maintainer fixes

    • Quality: upstream introduced t3code/no-low-value-comments. Commit cdbc2d6997 shortens the retained fork comments in fork/scripts/release-version.cjs, PromptSuggestions.ts, and tunnel.test.ts to constraints, and keeps @public alone in DesktopTray.ts. No rule suppression. The maintainer explicitly authorized editing fork tooling; .github/ was not edited.
    • Mobile playback: upstream's expanded playback cases render assistant messages through ThreadFeed, which retains the fork's reply-specific media revision context from b89b454af5. Commit 0b62a5c134 provides that context in the image mock. Reproduced all eight failures before the fix; all 89 filePreview tests pass afterward.
    • Chat downloads: commit 641b309855 updates the fork context-menu test from the old download: true flag to upstream's disposition: "attachment" contract adopted by the merge. The resolved path and download intent remain asserted. Reproduced the failure before the fix; all seven tests pass afterward.
    • Banner hover: fork commit 4327ddd840 retains separate hover coverage. Upstream f512ff6159 now expands synchronously on pointer entry, hiding the peek button while Playwright is still hovering it. Commit 6ab0642ccf hovers the stable data-composer-banner-stack wrapper. Every focus, visibility, count and Escape assertion remains. Production banner code matches upstream. All four tests passed in three consecutive independent file runs.
    • Attachment previews: accepted upstream flake, unchanged. All four failed cases passed unchanged together, then the complete AttachmentFilePreview.browser.test.tsx passed 130/130 in 59.18 seconds. The entire apps/web/src/components/files tree, web Vite configuration, render helper, and stylesheet match pinned upstream f40c7c6435e3 exactly. CI's table-heavy Word case hit the 15-second project ceiling; notebook and RTF/EPUB failures occurred while waiting for asynchronously mounted iframes. The history audit found no fork implementation or merge-resolution change in those paths. Local evidence: research-focused-browser.log and research-attachment-full-browser.log. The maintainer accepted this evidence and explicitly requested leaving these tests unchanged and rerunning CI if they alone flake again.

No tests were weakened or deleted. Independent GPT-6.1 Sol xhigh review found no actionable findings in the three first follow-ups, then independently found no actionable findings in the banner change and complete follow-up range.

    Final maintainer validation

    • corepack pnpm exec vp fmt --check: all 6,059 files passed.
    • Touched-file lint: all seven files passed, including fork tooling and the banner test.
    • Focused typechecks: mobile, server, SSH, web and desktop all passed. Existing informational compiler suggestions remain; no errors or warnings.
    • vp test run src/components/chat/ComposerBannerStack.browser.test.tsx: 4/4 passed three consecutive times.
    • vp test run src/components/ChatMarkdown.permissions.browser.test.tsx: 7/7 passed.
    • Mobile filePreview.test.ts: 89/89 passed after the mock fix.
    • PromptSuggestions.test.ts and DesktopTray.test.ts: 6/6 passed.
    • Attachment preview suite: 130/130 passed unchanged, with the upstream timing-flake evidence above.
    • git diff --check ea75da9545 HEAD: passed. All seven touched text files have LF endings. Clean checkout; no unresolved index entries or merge/revert state. Both requested SHAs remain ancestors. Main still matches the request base before publication.

Logs for the final checks use the local 40276931945-maintainer-* prefix. No interactive browser, native device, or development server session was started. Only the resolver publish/settle helpers will publish and request promotion; main is never pushed directly.

The original merge and adaptation record follows. Its validation was completed by the automated resolver before the broader CI failures above; the maintainer fixes and final checks above supersede its claim that no follow-up was needed.

    Conflict resolutions

The merge stopped on 42 files. Fork commits touching each conflicted path were inspected against the retained entries in fork/CHANGES.md; the per-file commit audit is retained locally in 40276931945-conflict-intent.log.

    • Release versions: apps/desktop/src/updates/updateChannels.ts, packages/shared/src/cliRelease.ts, and apps/web/src/components/sidebar/useUpdateEverything.ts retain fork version suffixes, version-dependent release repositories, and fork archive updates independent of npm publication. Upstream's shorter comments remain where applicable.
    • Mobile feed: apps/mobile/src/features/threads/ThreadFeed.tsx uses upstream's workspace-detail navigation and attachment rendering, while retaining compaction fork support and reply-specific markdown media revisions. The fork action uses a label that covers both responses and compactions.
    • Downloads: packages/contracts/src/assets.ts and apps/server/src/assets/AssetAccess.ts use upstream's disposition: "attachment" API and download implementation. The fork's chat-link context-menu action was adapted to that API. AssetAccess.test.ts keeps upstream's download tests and the fork's exact-file capability, tamper, replacement, and missing-file checks. Unsupported extensions still fail preview validation; archive/markdown preview rejection was updated because upstream now intentionally supports those file types. Download responses retain upstream's octet-stream MIME behavior.
    • Image caching: apps/web/src/assets/assetUrls.ts and apps/web/src/components/chat/ChatMarkdownMedia.tsx combine upstream's revision-aware reminting with the fork's separate URL cache per reply. The revision-family identity and underlying query include the reply key, so one reply's refresh cannot replace another reply's URL. A focused regression covers this isolation.
    • MCP: apps/server/src/mcp/OrchestratorMcpService.test.ts keeps the upstream test additions without duplicate imports. Orchestrator tool descriptions keep upstream's concise copy and add the retained 30-second/45-second delegation wait budget, scheduling time zones, and tool-boundary agent-message delivery. Thread-tool queue descriptions retain that delivery behavior. packages/contracts/src/orchestratorMcp.ts retains the matching time-zone and timeout contract descriptions.
    • Claude: ClaudeAdapterV2.ts combines upstream's attachment/PDF budgeting, tool search, and service provisioning with the fork's cold compaction caching, prompt suggestions, quota reset retention, settled wakes, and tool-boundary agent messages. ClaudeAdapterV2.test.ts retains both upstream and fork cases. Existing comments were shortened to meet upstream's new lint limits.
    • Codex and provider sessions: CodexAdapterV2.ts, ProviderSessionManager.ts, and apps/server/src/provider/CodexProvider.ts retain provider-scoped MCP credentials, owned delayed starts/compactions, overload retries, prompt suggestions, and unsupported-usage-read avoidance, alongside upstream's lineage checks and updated diagnostics. The original upstream annotations for optional undefined results were retained at their correct expressions. ProviderOrchestrationAdapterInfrastructure.ts and ProviderContinuationRequests.ts retain the shared continuation queue and agent-message claim contract.
    • History projection: ProjectionStore.ts uses upstream's bounded history paging/materialization and adds compaction fork evidence to the materialized rows. It retains the fork's queued/cancelled-input visibility and rollback behavior. packages/shared/src/orchestrationV2Timeline.ts retains the corresponding visibility intent.
    • Launch/provider-switch tests: ThreadLaunchService.test.ts and testkit/ProviderSwitch.integration.test.ts retain the upstream additions and the fork's Scratch-folder replay and deferred handoff cases. Scratch partial-create assertions now follow upstream fix(server): analytics stop counting reconnects, retries, and dev servers pingdotgg/t3code#24601: the first accepted initial message is not a resumed final write; a repeat is resumed. Folder reuse and run assertions remain intact.
    • VCS status: VcsStatusBroadcaster.ts retains the fork's scan reuse and post-fetch invalidation while preserving status reconciliation after a failed pull.
    • Composer/tests: ChatComposer.tsx and the renamed composerCommandKey.ts use upstream's current plain handler API while preserving prompt-suggestion acceptance and dismissal. ComposerBannerStack.browser.test.tsx keeps both sides' independent tests; MessagesTimeline.browser.test.tsx keeps both sides' imports and cases, including upstream audio coverage.
    • Runtime guidance and fixtures: packages/provider-core/src/server/runtimeInstructions.ts combines upstream audio/file-viewer guidance with the fork's workspace-relative-link explanation. Its tests preserve upstream PR guidance and fork runtime/model cases. All eight conflicted Muse transcript fixtures use the combined runtime text and upstream's current instructions. Pi's retained runtime injection remains in place.
    • Persisted caches: both branches independently used full-cache version 5 for different compatibility changes; upstream also introduced compact-cache version 6. The combined full format is version 7 and compact format is version 8, invalidating both old forms while keeping shell caches at version 3. orchestrationCache.ts, its tests, threadCacheEncoding.ts, and mobile persistence tests agree on those formats. A failing-before/passing-after regression proves stale compact records are rejected.

    Adaptations discovered by validation

    • Fork Codex prediction/overload replay frames lacked the native default collaboration mode introduced by upstream fix(server): use Codex native collaboration modes pingdotgg/t3code#24737. Added the required field to four expected frames; retry and suggestion behavior assertions were preserved.
    • Replaced the continuation refusal path's catch-plus-succeed with equivalent Effect.orElseSucceed, satisfying the new Effect diagnostic.
    • Resolved the cache-format collision described above, including mobile round-trip expectations.
    • Formatted the files reported by vp fmt --check. No tests were weakened or deleted. No fork/ tooling or .github/ files were edited by the resolver; upstream changes to those paths were merged normally.

    Original resolver validation

All selected final checks passed. There are no skipped checks or unresolved resolution decisions.

    • Frozen-lockfile dependency installation succeeded. An existing set of package-local compiler launchers referenced a missing old TypeScript installation; those ignored launchers were moved to the trash so package commands use the installed root compiler. No dependency declarations or lockfile edits were needed.
    • Package typechecks passed for contracts, provider-core, shared, client-runtime, server, and mobile. Direct project typechecks passed for web and desktop. Existing informational compiler suggestions remain; no final type errors or warnings remain.
    • Focused provider/continuation regression suite: 410 tests passed in ClaudeAdapterV2.test.ts, CodexAdapterV2.test.ts, and ProviderContinuationService.test.ts.
    • Final integration/regression suite: 254 tests passed in 11 files; includes projection history, launches, provider switches, MCP, downloads, VCS status, timeline visibility, asset URL revisions, cache envelopes, and release selection.
    • Client projection/workflow/runtime regression suite: 108 tests passed (before the additional stale-compact regression was added; the cache suite was rerun afterward).
    • Muse replay suite: 8 tests passed.
    • Codex provider, asset atoms, thread forks, and history paging suite: 31 tests passed.
    • Final mobile/cache/thread synchronization suite: 50 tests passed, including the stale-compact regression.
    • corepack pnpm exec vp fmt --check: passed across all 6,059 matched files.
    • Focused lint of 40 resolution/adaptation source files: exit 0. Two inline-schema compilation warnings in AssetAccess.test.ts are unchanged upstream test code (upstream lines 1420 and 1457); no resolver code causes them.
    • git diff --check <requested-main> HEAD reports whitespace only in six files whose candidate blobs exactly equal the pinned upstream blobs: apps/mobile/modules/t3-highlights/Vendor/highlights/highlights.c, apps/mobile/modules/t3-highlights/Vendor/wasm2c/wasm-rt.h, patches/@pierre%2Fdiffs@1.6.1.patch, patches/@react-native-menu__menu@2.0.0.patch, patches/expo-video@58.0.11.patch, and patches/react-native-keyboard-controller@1.22.8.patch. They were left unchanged as required; no fork/resolver whitespace errors remain.
    • Working tree clean; no unresolved index entries, merge state, or revert state. Candidate contains both requested SHAs. Task-edited text has LF endings.

Validation used automated unit/integration/replay tests and typechecks; no interactive browser or native-device session was started. Local Node was v24.22.1; the candidate's GitHub checks remain the promotion gate for the repository's configured runtime.

Reviewer focus: the combined reply/revision cache keys, full/compact cache invalidation, attachment budgeting alongside retained Claude hooks, and compaction-fork evidence in bounded history. The local regressions and typechecks cover those integrations.

Fork sync request 40276931945: runner-capacity correction

    • Fork main: 2a844e62cd343fe8b96b7bd0348fdd5dbfd990b3
    • Pinned upstream: f40c7c6435e390fc91f1d7eac6caf61bd9fe0e0e
    • Candidate: ccd74b39391d48d04e6db22962cf24d4686206b6
    • Merge: b4b80f7847; initial adaptation: ea75da9545.
    • Maintainer follow-ups: cdbc2d6997, 0b62a5c134, 641b309855, 6ab0642ccf, ccd74b3939.

    Merge and retained fork intent

The merge resolved 42 conflicted paths by following upstream's current APIs and structure while retaining the patch intent recorded in fork/CHANGES.md. It keeps fork release/version routing, compaction fork evidence, reply-specific image revisions, prompt suggestions, scoped provider MCP access, cold Claude compaction, queued agent-message delivery, deferred handoffs, Codex overload retries, Scratch launch reuse, and Git-status scan reuse. Download contracts use upstream's media-file attachment disposition. Full/compact persisted cache formats advance to 7/8 to invalidate both branches' incompatible earlier formats. The detailed original merge audit and validation remain in earlier issue comments and the local 40276931945-resolver-summary-original.md.

    Initial CI failures fixed

    • cdbc2d6997 adapts retained fork comments to upstream's new t3code/no-low-value-comments; it retains constraints and @public without rule suppression.
    • 0b62a5c134 provides the retained fork media revision context in the mock used by upstream's expanded mobile playback tests. Eight reproduced failures became 89/89 passing tests.
    • 641b309855 updates the retained chat-download expectation to upstream's disposition: "attachment" API while preserving the resolved-path assertion. All seven tests pass.
    • 6ab0642ccf adapts retained banner hover coverage to upstream f512ff6159's synchronous expansion. Hover targets the stable stack wrapper; every focus, visibility, count and Escape assertion remains. The complete file passes three consecutive runs, and both prior CI runs passed this file.

    Capacity diagnosis and workflow change

The previous description of attachment failures as random upstream flakes was incomplete. Pinned upstream CI is green, while the fork repeatedly fails when the heavy preview file competes with the rest of the suite on the slower standard runner.

    • Upstream's exact pinned run https://github.com/pingdotgg/t3code/actions/runs/40271276536 passes the unchanged preview file's 130 tests in 118.31 seconds, with the complete web suite in 132.21 seconds, on blacksmith-8vcpu-ubuntu-2404. Its 60-page Word test takes 2.52 seconds.
    • Fork runs https://github.com/Alb11747/t3code/actions/runs/40281369818 and https://github.com/Alb11747/t3code/actions/runs/40282325889 take 294.44/324.95 seconds for that file and 348.74/365.25 seconds overall on standard ubuntu-24.04. Word cases reach the unchanged 15-second test ceiling; the other 379 files pass.
    • Preview components/workers, tests, browser setup/render helper, Vite configs, package manifest and lockfile match pinned upstream. Both use the same test command and default file parallelism, with no explicit worker cap. Actual CPU and memory pressure were not recorded in those CI logs, so hardware starvation is supported by comparisons and isolation rather than directly measured utilization.
    • All seven failing cases pass unchanged in isolation with CI=true and CPU affinity restricted to two cores. The full file also passes 130/130 in 74.26 seconds with the same two-core restriction and the exact new workflow command.
    • Notebook and RTF/EPUB failures are one-second vi.waitFor assertions waiting for absent iframes. Direct-worker parsing checks pass before the RTF/EPUB viewer checks fail. The worksheet root-element error is consistent with a timed-out Word-remount test retaining its temporary Word-only ZIP fetch mock: missing workbook XML is parsed as an empty string. That contamination chain is plausible but was not directly traced; the isolated worksheet case passes.

Commit ccd74b3939 changes only the explicitly authorized .github/workflows/fork-checks.yml: run attachment previews first with --no-file-parallelism, then the remaining web suite with that file excluded. if: !cancelled() still runs the remaining tests after a preview failure, and a preview failure still fails the job. There are no extra jobs, larger or paid runners, timeout increases, test retries, skipped tests, changed assertions or production changes.

    Final local validation

    • Isolated attachment file under two-core affinity and CI=true: 130/130 passed.
    • Exact remaining-suite workflow command with CI=true: 379 files, 4,412 tests passed in 152.39 seconds.
    • Test discovery proves the two steps partition the original 380 files into 379 + 1, with identical combined membership and no overlap. Together both commands pass all 4,542 web tests.
    • corepack pnpm exec vp fmt --check: all 6,059 files passed.
    • Workflow validation with actionlint 1.7.7 passed. vp lint does not select YAML and reports no files; actionlint supplies the relevant workflow validation. No diagnostics were suppressed.
    • git diff --check 6ab0642ccf HEAD: passed. Workflow file has LF endings. Checkout is clean, with both requested SHAs as ancestors.
    • Prior affected-package typechecks and lint, mobile playback tests and desktop/server regression tests remain valid; only workflow scheduling changed afterward.
    • Independent Sol high-effort diagnosis and Sol xhigh review found no actionable findings. The exact worksheet contamination chain remains an inference, and the standard-runner CI result is the final capacity proof.

    Local evidence: 40276931945-upstream-web-pinned.log, 40276931945-maintainer-ci-round{1,2}-failed.log, 40276931945-capacity-isolated-cases.log, 40276931945-capacity-isolated-full.log, 40276931945-capacity-web-rest.log, and 40276931945-capacity-coverage-proof.log.

    Publication and settlement

Main is never pushed directly. To exercise a candidate workflow change before promotion, the temporary publisher copy outside the repository dispatches resume from sync/candidate instead of main; all its SHA/ancestry/freshness guards remain intact. The candidate fork-sync.yml blob exactly equals fork main's (b0a60675ce33fee9845eeb9911d74a5ec292a624), so validation and review gates are preserved. The external publisher is restored immediately after publication. Settlement still dispatches promotion through the trusted main workflow.

The maintainer authorized at most two additional settlement rounds. The existing ledger's fix_attempts: 2 is preserved; FORK_FIX_ATTEMPTS=3 permits one send-back for the first additional round, then leaves a second failure for review. No other file under .github/ was edited.
