Terms of Service

1. Introduction

Welcome to Embed Fixer! This software is an open-source Discord bot designed to fix social media embeds on Discord. By using or contributing to this software, you agree to comply with the terms and conditions outlined in this document.

2. License

Embed Fixer is licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 (GPL-3.0). You can view the full text of the license here.

3. Usage and Restrictions

  • You are permitted to use Embed Fixer in accordance with the terms of the GPL-3.0 license. This includes:
    • Using the software for personal or commercial purposes.
    • Redistributing the software.
    • Modifying the software, provided that the modified version also complies with the GPL-3.0 license terms.

4. Redistribution and Self-Hosting

  • Self-hosting the Embed Fixer Discord bot is allowed. You may run your own instances of the bot on your own Discord servers, provided that you comply with the GPL-3.0 license.

5. Attributions

  • The embed fixes provided by the Embed Fixer bot are created by their respective owners. Embed Fixer itself provides a platform to utilize these fixes on Discord.

6. Modifications and Contributions

  • You are allowed to take the existing code and modify it as long as you comply with the terms of the GPL-3.0 license.
  • If you wish to contribute to the project, contributions should be submitted through the project's GitHub repository. Please open issues or submit pull requests to propose changes or report bugs.

7. Disclaimer of Warranty

  • This software is provided "as is," without any express or implied warranties. I make no guarantees that the software will work as intended or that it will be free of defects.
  • If the software stops working or causes any damage, I am not liable for any losses or damages incurred. This project is maintained on a side-project basis, and I may choose to stop maintaining it or not fix any issues at any time.

8. Data Collection and Privacy

  • The only data collected by Embed Fixer are the settings of the bot for individual Discord guilds (servers). A more specific list of the data collected can be found in the models.py file of the source code.
  • If you wish to have your data removed from the bot's database, please contact me using the contact details provided below.

9. Support and Contact Information

  • You can contact me for support via email at seria.ati@gmail.com or via Discord at @seria_ati. Please note that while I provide these contact options, I do not guarantee that I will address or fix any issues reported.

10. Termination

  • Your right to use Embed Fixer can be terminated if you fail to comply with the terms of the GPL-3.0 license.
