Dev-Lead — waiting on PR blockers (intent: review-changes)PR: #2218 |
|
Note @don-petry I reviewed this PR and no code changes were needed, but I can't mark it done yet: required check |
QA Lead — test-risk advisoryRisk tier: MEDIUM. This changes what the harness commits and pushes to live PRs, but the guard fails open and is well tested on the #2198 path (total revert, partial revert, removing a file the PR added, bringing back a file the PR deleted, base moved ahead, agent commit is not residue). What I'd shore up (highest leverage first):
Escalate? no. No production path is left unguarded; the gaps above are worth closing before merge but don't block it. Advisory only — I comment, I do not change code. Ground: BMAD Test Architecture |

Code Review
This pull request introduces a "base-residue guard" mechanism to prevent uncommitted changes that restore PR files to their base-branch content from being committed. This is implemented via a new helper script scripts/lib/base-residue-guard.sh, integrated into scripts/dev-lead-fix-reviews.sh, and documented in the developer prompts. Comprehensive unit tests are also added. The review feedback suggests replacing the use of mapfile with a Bash 3.2-compatible array-reading pattern in both the main script and the test suite to ensure portability across environments like macOS.

The org was renamed to combsmith; GitHub Actions does not redirect uses: after a rename. Same rewrite as the org cutover, nothing else. This branch still conflicts with main for reasons unrelated to the rename.
Restores every other file to this branch's previous content, so the PR diff stays this PR's own change; its petry-projects references stay rewritten to combsmith.

Problem
dev-lead: an agent session can leave base-branch content in the PR worktree, and the harness commits it (follow-up to #2211)
From the issue: Follow-up to #2211 (budget-guard split). On PR #2198, run 38072695498, the
fix-bot-commentpass's worktree was on the PR head:gh pr checkoutswitched it todev-lead/issue-2196-20261010-1316at 17:52:43, two seconds after the intermediatePreparing worktree (detached HEAD e6b666d). The harness runs no git command between the engine andcommit_and_push. So when the agent session ended, its working tree heldorigin/main's content for the PR's three files while HEAD was still on the PR branch, and...Risk
