Issue. Trial Pro Membership. Copilot in VS says upgrade

I have a problem with copilot in
Visual Studio Code Version: 1.108.1 (user setup)

I have upgraded to pro but nothing has changed in VSC. When I write something in the Copilot chat then I still see the alert:
"You've reached your monthly chat messages quota. Upgrade to Copilot Pro (30-day free trial) or wait for your allowance to renew.

Upgrade to GitHub Copilot Pro"

I have tried to reinstall everything but its still the same alert. Can anyone help me in this issue?

You need to force VS Code to discard the old token and request a new one with the "Pro" status.

Step 1

1. In VS Code, look at the bottom-left Accounts icon (the person circle).
2. Click it and select Sign out of GitHub.
3. Completely close VS Code (all windows).
4. Wait 10 seconds to ensure the process terminates.
5. Re-open VS Code.

Step 2

1. Click the Accounts icon again (or try to use Copilot Chat).
2. It will prompt you to Sign In. Proceed with the browser flow.
3. This new login will generate a fresh token that includes your new "Pro" entitlement.

Step 3

If it still fails, we need to see exactly what GitHub thinks you are logged in as.

1. Open the Output panel (Ctrl + Shift + U or View > Output).
2. In the dropdown (top-right of the panel), select GitHub Copilot Chat.
3. Look for a line near the top that says [INFO] [auth] Logged in as <username>.
   • If this username is wrong, you have a cached credential conflict.
   • If the username is right but the error persists, please paste the last 5 lines of this log here so I can see the specific API rejection code.
