Repeated Rejection in GitHub Student Developer Pack Verification (Even After Uploading Correct Student ID)

Hey GitHub Education Team 👋

I’ve applied multiple times (around 5–6 times) for the GitHub Student Developer Pack, but my application keeps getting rejected even though I’ve uploaded a valid and clear student ID card each time.

Here’s the situation in detail:

I’m a verified student currently studying at Chameli Devi Group Of Institutions.

I uploaded my official student ID card that clearly shows my name, photo, and validity period.

Every time I apply, I carefully follow the guidelines mentioned on the verification page.

Still, my application gets rejected without a clear reason or feedback.

This time, I’m trying for the 6th time, but the upload section seems buggy or fails to upload the image properly.

Could someone from the GitHub Education Team please check what’s going wrong here?

Is there any specific format, file size, or visibility issue that might cause repeated rejection?
It would really help if I could get a clear explanation or suggestion before reapplying again.

Hi @insanekrishnna,

Make sure to fill in your billing info and GitHub profile with your full name exactly as it appears on your academic transcript and don't use a VPN. Then log out and log back into GitHub before reapplying, because the application system gets stuck in a loop even after the required information has been updated.

If you still get rejected, submit the application using another device, such as a smartphone or another PC.

If none of the above works, I recommend you contact support by opening a ticket here, select "Other" and explain your problem.

I've had the same problem, and the solution was pretty easy. Photo capturing in the application works kinda weird. If you're making the smallest movement of your camera, it takes a bad quality photo, and the system just can't recognize it. It'll then give you reasons like a wrong name or not the full name of your college.

Also, this might be a problem where you get stuck in a rejection loop after the first denial. You should simply log out and log in to get rid of that.
