**We want to get people active using data.** For months, activity providers have been openly publishing their opportunity data for our OpenActive Accelerator. Now, it’s over to you. Open opportunity data helps people decide whether an activity is (or isn’t) for them. It includes real-time information and integrated booking options for classes, sessions and clubs, spare places in leagues, tennis courts, and football pitches for hire. You can use opportunity data in many ways to inspire people to be more active, remove pain points, and deliver better customer experiences. Developments in data, social media, VR and AI are having a huge impact on people’s lives, changing the way we travel and entertain ourselves. In the sport and physical activity sector, information about activity opportunities are often siloed, making it harder to innovate until now.

That's why we're launching the ODI's OpenActive Accelerator supported by Sport England.

The ODI’s OpenActive Accelerator, in partnership with Sport England, supports startups creating new tech products that get people active.

Startups get access to a network of mentors, partners and ‘open opportunity data’: data about the location and time of specific physical activities. These include real-time information about classes, facilities, and spare places in leagues, such as yoga classes or football pitches for hire.

Startups use opportunity data to build innovative ways to get people active, satisfy user needs and deliver experiences aligned with the digital era we are facing now.
